FINNISH WOOL RUGS

100% Pure New Wool (Woolmark quality).

You can use them either side up. The sides are usually reversely coloured. Buy one rug, you get actually two!
Botnia Wool Rugs are durable and resistant to abrasion.
Luxuriously soft and pleasant in use, still not heavy at all (one square meter weighs just over two kilograms).
Using both sides will extend the rugs life time. We also recommend you to turn the rug around its axis every now and then (the carpet will wear more evenly).
We recommend the use of non-slip rug underlays.

Wool is a dirt-resistant material. Regular hoovering and occasional airing is all you need to do to care for your Botnia wool rug.

However, if you later want to let a good carpet laundry clean your wool carpet, it is important to apply plane water cleaning (temperature max 30° C) and plane drying. Your wool rug which usually is light in use is heavy when wet and if dried on a carpet frame the rug will stretch.
A light chemical cleaning is also a good alternative.

Some hints on stain removal:
First remove the loose dirt with towel, spoon or edge of a knife. If it is a liquid stain, first press a towel on the stain absorbing the liquid into it.
Dab (do not rub) the stain with a towel dipped into lukewarm water from the edges into the middle so that the stain would not spread.
Dry the spot dabbing it with a dry towel.
If the stain has dried we recommend you to contact your nearest rug cleaning expert.
